This last week I was able to reunite with my long time pal Lou Mei, and we sure had one hell of a day adventure !! Usually we link up in Oregon, but this year we reunited in New Mexico…at a wonderful place called San Lorenzo Canyon.

I met up with Lou Mei and her boyfriend early morning, and we spent all day climbing, soaking up the sun, telling stories, eating yummy snacks, drinking tea, and letting out belly laughs. It felt like I was at home in the middle of the desert. A homey day filled with adventure and wholesome human beings.

San Lorenzo Canyon itself was a wonderful area to explore. It was someplace new I had never been to. A place so vast that it reminded me of how big and splendid the world is.

Even though we explored for hours and discovered many hidden gems, there seemed to be so many things left to discover in the area…another reminder for me that there are many things left to discover in the world.

I will surely let my Birkenstocks take me everywhere !

&&&&&&&& side note: after such a wholesome adventure, what a better way to end the day than by eating a hearty meal at curbside!! :)
