Hello friends! :)
This week my brother & I both trekked to Arizona in order to run the annual Pat Tillman run in Tempe. Our first time!
Both of us decided to run the race in honor of our grandfather Richard Roberts — a great man who passed away the previous year from dementia.
Our grandfather started running during his life, and the Pat Tillman race was one he ran for many years & was also one of his favorite runs. That & due to having family connections in Arizona is the reason why my brother and I chose this race specifically. &&& it was one for the books!
Here’s a few snapshots of the day!

Walking to the race! Morning sunrise !

Waiting in our corral! Over 30,000 runners/walkers this year!

Finished at the stadium! :)

My brother & I after the race!

This year’s finishing medal!
This is a day I will forever treasure. It was my first time running with my brother, my first time racing in Arizona, and a day to honor my grandfather. I know that he is forever proud of both my brother and I.

My siblings & cousins w our grandfather! :) Sorry, it’s blurry ahah!
Thanks for reading!
Love, Sam! 💛
