**Sorry, I don’t have any pictures of the night sky here in NM. Though, I can attest that it is gorgeous! I love stargazing and this place is definitely suitable for doing so!**

I have always been a lover of the sky. Whether that be watching a sunrise, watching a sunset, watching the night sky, or even observing the sky in the middle of the day. To me, the sky is a work of art. An ever changing canvas full of beauty and of wonder.

And although the sky has been wonderful wherever I’ve been, something about the desert sky is truly special. It has been my favorite part about living in the desert, hands down! Comparatively to Oregon, it’s not overcast most of the year (we do get clouds here but most of the time they look so light & fluffy) and so I’ve gotten to experience more clear skies. That means, being able to completely see more natural wonders of the sky. There’s also a little less light pollution where I live now which makes the stars pop out more. All in all, the sky will never cease to amaze me. :)

Side note: I would love to camp at a place called Cosmic Campground in the Gila. It’s an international dark sky sanctuary, and is supposed to be a fabulous place to experience the night sky in NM.

I can’t even express how much I love the sky. It is definitely a blessing being able to walk outside every day and see a masterpiece, an ever changing masterpiece. And I am excited to continue to see many more variations throughout my life.
